How the CELPIP-to-CLB conversion works

CELPIP-General reports a separate level for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. These CELPIP levels correspond one-to-one with CLB levels, so a CELPIP 9 is CLB 9 in that skill. There is no combined overall score.

Listening and Reading each contain 38 scored questions in the full test format. The raw-score chart above is an approximate guide; the number of correct answers associated with a level can vary between test forms. Writing and Speaking levels are based on rated responses rather than a simple raw-score count.
